My Own Medicine

All students who took one of my conflict management courses remember the Case Study Assignment. All my students complained about the hard work required for this assignment. They all later told me how helpful it was.

After I recently experienced a serious and unfortunate conflict at work, my wife, Zoe, innocently (innocent as a fox) suggested I do a case study of the conflict, like I required my students to do. Yep, in my head, I complained and griped. But the wisdom of the suggestion compelled me to do it. It was tough - required much time, work, and introspection. I learned much from the effort and truly believe I will avoid making the same mistakes in the future. Thank you, Zoe.
